Do I need a visa for my vacation in Sri Lanka?
With effect of 1 January 2012, Sri Lanka has implemented a mandatory visa for all visitors to Sri Lanka (with the exception of citizen from Singapore and the Maldives). The visa can be applied for at the website http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/ and the fee of US$ 20.00 can be paid online.
Until March 31, 2012, visitors have the possibility of obtaining their visa after arrival at the airport at a special "VISA"-counter for a fee of US$ 20.00.
